Minase has just launched a new colour for its Divido and 7 Windows collections. The new model was first presented at the New York Windup Show and the WatchTime, Düsseldorf and London WatchPro events.
The regular Divido dials are made of copper which has been stamped and hand painted. The inspiration for this watch was the principle of Suiboku-ga: “Ink and paint to water”. Minase used this principle in the making of their new watch but substituted the paint for a special lacquer. The painter Suiboku-ga continually modifies the dilution of the paint and the position of the brush, giving the dial various reflections and shadows.
The new Ice Blue dial on the Divido is available with three different straps: stainless steel, black elastic and white. 7 Windows regular dials are made of steel and then PVD coated. The new Ice Blue dial on the 7 Windows is available with a stainless-steel bracelet or dark blue leather strap.
